I realize that I work that way, too. If I have a deadline looming, I also kick into high gear and accomplish a lot in a short period of time. It's like getting ready for vacation. I get more done the week before vacation than I do any other week in the year -- because I know my time is limited.
Why, then don't I use that same motivation on a daily basis? I know if I did, who knows what I'd accomplish?
So that's my New Year's resolution. . . to accomplish as much without a deadline as I do with one.
It's strange where business lessons come from, isn't it?
